About Pancreatic Cancer

Currently pancreatic cancer remains the 4th leading cause of cancer death in the United States, while ranking only 9th in incidence. The problem being confronted is large with over 41,000 deaths due to pancreatic cancer in 2016 and more than 53,000 new cases in the same year. This fact coupled with the understanding that 92% of patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer are dead at two years after diagnosis is reason enough to develop new endeavors in translational research and therapeutics.
